After a conversation with the doctor, Jacob and Shepard, you'll regain control. You can then opt out of the quest, where you'll find yourself back on the Normandy. It's now time to invite the doctor to come along with you, which you should do. The cure to the Collectors' disease, the one that's been ravaging most races within the Quarantine Zone, should now be getting to all of its intended targets. A conversation ensues, as Daniel reunites with his boss (if you chose to save him during the Omega: The Professor: Missing Assistant side quest), and there's a feeling of victory in the air. You'll now find yourself back in the doctor's clinic. When you reach the other well-guarded door with the fan controls, click the fans on, and suddenly, this entire endeavor comes to a quick end.

The fighting is furious here, and there are a lot of enemies to deal with, so take your time, seek cover, and don't rush, or you'll likely meet an untimely death. You'll need to not only fight your way back to the center of the room, but you'll need to fight a fresh force of Vorcha once you reach the other yet-unexplored corridor. These fans must be turned on in order for the curative air to make its way around the Quarantine Zone.Īs for the other corridor, working your way to it will be more difficult (again, this is true regardless of which corridor/door you first breached). Once you've cleared the first corridor of enemies, run to the room they were guarding and activate one of two fans. Then, begin working your way to either side of the room, going down the stairs to reach parallel pathways (it doesn't matter which one you go to, since you need to visit both corridors eventually). The balcony above the door you earlier breached this area via now has a few rocket-toting enemies, so break out that sniper rifle and take them out first and foremost. When you get a moment, begin to return fire on the myriad enemies around you. Once that's done, make haste towards the nearest piece of cover, and stay there until things calm down. They will make themselves seen as soon as you place the cure to the disease within the central machine. Our not-so-clever attempt at foreshadowing above likely indicated to all of you that more enemies are in your vicinity. Unfortunately, there are two more steps to tend to before we're out of dodge. Dash up to it and examine it to place the cure within. So, have you killed the few enemies guarding the machine? Good. It's that control panel that will be used to insert the cure into the air supply throughout the Quarantine Zone, though placing the vial in the machine isn't even remotely all we have to do here. You'd think there would be more Vorcha here to protect the control room, but apparently, there aren't (or are there!?) For the time being, take cover and return fire on the few enemies that are guarding the main control panel. The initial conflict you're faced with here is an easy one to overcome.
